YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather yesterday was fine and sunny, with a light wind from the south-west. The barometer, which had risep during the day, was steady last evening at 30.00 in. Wellington.—Early morning showers were succeeded by bright, warm sunshine. Most of the day was perfect, with an absence of wind. Christchurch.—There was more cloud than sunshine and a keen breeze from the north-east. The thermometer registered 48 degrees. The barometer fell and the reading was 29.90 in. last evening. Dunedin —The weather was fine and sunny, with a fresh breeze from the northeast. The maximum temperature was 54 degrees. The barometer, which fell several points during the day, registered 29.85 in. in tho evening.
