STEAMERS FOR SYDNEY.
MORE SAILINGS PROVIDED. TWO VESSELS ON SOME DAYS. AUGMENTED SUMMER SERVICE. Travel facilities between Auckland and Sydney have been increased since? <lio Matson Lino has included Auckland as a port of call for its transpacific steamers. To-morrow two vessels, the Union Company's steamer Maunganui and the Matson Lino steamer Sonoma, will leave Auckland for Sydney, the Maunganui at. 3 p.m. and the Sonoma at 5 p.m. A similar position will occur frequently. Next month tho Mntson Lino steamer Ventura arid the Huddnrt-Parkcr steamer Ulimaroa arc both scheduled to leave Auckland for Sydney on October 16. In November the Matson Line steamer Sonoma and the Union Company's steamer Mamma are tho vessels concerned, and they will leave Auckland on November 27. In December eight passenger vessels are scheduled to leave Auckland for Sydney and three will sail from Wellington for Sydney. January sailings from Auckland for Sydney will be made by six steamers, including tho Sonoma and Maunganui, both on January 29. Considerable interest will be taken in the February timolable owing to the fact that tho Union Company's motor-liner Aorangi and tho new Matson liner Maraposa are scheduled to leave Auckland for Sydney on February 22. The Aorangi is the largest? passenger vessel in tho Union Company's service. She is 17.491 gross tons and her speed is over 17 knots. Tho Maraposa's gross tonnage is 22,000 and her speed is expected to be 20£ knots.
