The Pacific and South-west tennis tournament at Los Angeles in the second round of the men's singles, Perry (Britain) defeated Gress (Los Angeles), 7 —5, 6 —3, and Hughes (Britain) defeated Hugh McArthur (San Diego), 7—5, B—lo, 6—3. In the third round of the mixed doubles Perry and Miss Bishop (Pasadena) defeated Hanna and Miss Robinson (Los Angeles), 7—5, 6—l. LEADING TENNIS PLAYERS. MR. A. W. MYERS' RANKING. LONDON, Sept, 22.
