INSURANCE ON LORRY.
EXPIRY OF POLICY. [by telegraph.—rnEss association.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. An interesting judgment was delivered to-day in the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Reed in awarding Stephen Pilcher, of Wellington, £342 5s damages against Leyland Motors, Limited. The facts were that the company, on selling a lorry to Pilcher under a hire-purchase agreement, took out an insurance cover note, but this expired before the lorry was destroyed by fire and the insurance company refused to acknowledge any liability." Pilcher had not. been notified that tlie cover note had expired.
