PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
SPECIAL SERVICES HELD. The Onelnniga Presbyterian Church, with many city and suburban Presbyterian churches, has been holding .special services during the month, as arranged by the Auckland Presbytery. The object i was to deepen and consolidate church life. On Sunday the Rev. A. Macdonald Aspland, of Knox Church, Purnelli preached at Onehunga in the morning, and the Rev. J. A. Thomson, of St. Luke's Church, Remuera, in the evening. Services conducted by laymen were held - in the Te Papapa Hall and Kirby s Hall. | Merrilands. Last evening the service in the church hall, Onehunga, was conducted by the Rev. Tlios. Hailidav, Presbyterian social service secretary. All the evening services have been well attended and have been preceded by 15 minutes' song services conducted by oni" cers of the church. The gatherings are to eontinuo eac» evening until Thursday, October 1, and • the several branch congregations will combine with the main one for evening worship on the following Sunday. The meetings will conclude with u id id-week nil 3" sionary demonstration.
