FRANKLIN-POWER AREA.
POSITION OF MARAMARUA. COMMISSION TO ADJUDICATE. [from OUR own correspondent. ] PITvEKOHE, Tuesday. Advice was received by the Franklin Power Board at its meeting to-day that Messrs. Millar, Self and Toogood had been appointed the commission to adjudicate on the petition . for the ceding of the Maramarua area from the Central board to the Franklin board. The commission will open its sittings at Hamilton nest Monday morning, when it- will hear a brief statement of the position from the point of view of each of the two boards. It will then make a visit of inspection to the area, and on Tuesday take evidence. It was decided that the chairman, Mr.' J. Dean, the engineer, Mr. L. G. Sharp, the secretary, Mr. S. P. Day, and Mr. T. Lancaster, consulting engineer, of Wellington, represent the Franklin board before the .commission.
