WAR LOAN CONVERSION.
NO FEAR OF COMPULSION. ASSURANCE BY CHANCELLOR. (Received September 22, 7.15 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY, Sept. 22. In answer to a question in the House of Commons the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Snowden, referring to apprehensions expressed by foreign holders of the 5 per cent, war loan, 1929, that their holdings might be compulsorilv converted, said such fears were entirely groundless.
