PROGRESS AT NORTHCOTE. Congratulations on the satisfactory progress and success achieved during a difficult season were extended by the president, Mr. 11. Shaw, at the annual meeting of tho Northcoie Cricket Club. Appreciative references were made to the interest in the game of cricket taken by Mr. S. C. Arblaster, who was elected a life, member in recognition of his Ions: association with Northcote cricket and for his services to the club. In view of the report of the delegate. Mr. C. H. Colegrave, regarding the status of the junior management board, tho delegates to the annual meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association • to-morrow evening were instructed to endeavour to have the junior advisory committee appointed by the junior clubs. Mr. Colegrave pointed out that the junior players paid the bulk of the registration fees, but the advisory committee had no power. Ihe following officers were elected: —Patron. Mr. H. McGill for the most improved second-grade player. P. Heath was presented with tho bat donated by Mr. W. M. Jacks for a j similar distinction in tho third grade. BALMORAL CLUB. A satisfactory season was shown by (he report and balance-sheet presented at tl\c I annual meeting of the Balmoral Cricket j Club last evening. There was a fairly largo .gathering of enthusiastic members and intending members. The report stated that all teams performed creditably durintr tho season, although 110 championship was won. The financial standing of the club was very sound, there being a credit-balance of £5 10s sd. The following officers were elected Patron, Mr. G. C. Munns. M.P.: president. Mr. R. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHE, Tuesday. Mention was made in the report presented at the annual meeting of the Pukekohe Cricket Club, last evening, that in the past season tho club had won both the senior and junior competitions conducted by the Pukekohe Cricket Association. Matches with Papakura and Hauraki Plains had also been played and Pukekohe had been successful in both. The bat pro ecu ted by tho patron, Mr. J. Roulston, aenr,, for the player proving best at fielding wua won by A. McKinnon. Tho financial statement showed a credit balance of 15s lOd. Officers were elected as follows Patron. Mr. Roulston; president, Mr. R. Schlaepfer; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. J. Sumner. C. K. Lawrie, J. Houtly, A. F. Brown. C. 11. Jemison, W Pleydell, G. Haslam and J. Hall: secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. Lawrie: assistant-secretary. Mr. W. Brown; management committee, Messrs. A. Rose and H. Pleydell, and the captain of the junior team; delegates to Pukekohe Cricket Association. Messrs. Pleydell. Rose and J. P. Rae; senior selectors, Messrs. Pleydell and Rose, and the captain of the senior team; junior selectors. Mr, Rae and tho captain of tho junior team; auditor, Mr. Rose. It was decided to enter n. senior and a junior team in tho Pukekolio Cricket Association's competitions.
