WORK ON WAIOEKA ROAD.
[from our own correspondent.] OPOTIKI, Tuesday. Good progress is being made by a gang of 24 men in an unemployment camp on the Matawai end of the Waioeka Road. The camp is situated in a comfortablo position about four miles north of Matawai. The alignment of the road is being brought up to main highway standard, the work being done in clay, soft rock and sand. The work is being done on the cooperative system, as most of the men arc familiar with this class of work, and a good showing is being made.
