DISHONEST EMPLOYEE.
THEFT OF FIRM'S MONEY. PROBATION FOR TWO YEARS. The theft of £lO 14s 6d was admitted by Ernest Ricketts, aged,49, motor-driver (Mr. Aekins), in the Police Court yesterday. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said that until recently accused had been employed by the Dominion Laundry Company, Limited, as a collector of clothing and money from customers. He got into arrears with his personal accounts and misappropriated money he had received on behalf of his firm. Ricketts, who had never previously been convicted of a criminal offence, was admitted to probation for two years by the magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt. Restitution was ordered to be made.
