CROWN PROSECUTOR.
TARANAKI RESIGNATION. TO PRACTISE IN AUCKLAND. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. Having decided to leave New Plymouth and follow the practice of his profession as a barrister in ' Auckland, Mr. C. 11. Weston has resigned his appointment as Crown Prosecutor for the judicial district of Taranaki. His resignation will take effect from October 1. Mr. Weston started in practice at New Plymouth in 1902. He succeeded his father as Crown Prosecutor, and has hell the position continuously since that time with the exception of the years 1915-1919, when he was away on 'active service. During the war he.reached the vank of lieutenant-colonel, and was awarded the D.P.O. He acted for two years as examiner for the New Zealand University on property law. Mr. R. H. Quilliam, of the firm of Messrs. Govett, Quilliam ar.d Hutchen, has been appointed to succeed Mr. Weston, as Crown Prosecutor.
