NAVAL HOLIDAY PLAN.
UNITED STATES CONSIDERING. TENDERS FOR 11 DESTROYERS. WASHINGTON, Sept. IG. The State Department has been studying the advantages to bo derived from a naval building holiday. The officials are sympathetic toward tho proposals for a holiday, one of which was advanced by tho Foreign Minister of Italy, Signor Grandi, and one by Senator Borah, Idaho. The department, it was later announced, had opened tenders for the construction of 11 destroyers.
