ENGLISH RUGBY LEAGUE
DOMINION TOUR FIXED. FEE FOR PLAYERS TAKEN. (Uoccivcd September 17, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 10. The Rugby League council has accepted the invitation for a team to tour New Zealand. Mr. J. F. Whitakor, representing the New Zealand League, accepted the terms of 60 per cent, for tho Australian and New Zealand tours next year. The Rugby League clubs, at a meeting at Leeds, accepted by 16 votes to 8, a resolution empowering the League council to enter into an agreement with the New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand Leagues, by which English clubs signing on players from those leagues will be required to pay to an authority named by them £2OO compensation. The fee will be payable in English currency.
