ATTACKED BY ANTHRAX.
SERUM BY AEROPLANE. Mr. Thomas Brophy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brophy, of Goolma, near Mudgce, New South Wales, was admitted to a hospital recently, suffering from anthrax, contracted while shearing. No serum could be obtained in Mudgee, so Mr. Brophy telephoned to his daughter, who is matron of the Langton clinic at St. Margaret's Hospital, Sydney, aiid explained the situation to her. Tho matron at once chartered an aeroplane, and also communicated with her sister, a nurse. The sister was despatched with the serum in the aeroplane. The patient was soon out of danger.
