UNEMPLOYMENT WORKS.
CONFERENCE TO BE HELD. Various matters connected with the working of No. 5 unemployment scheme are to he considered at a conference of representatives of the local bodies from the Tamaki to the Whau, to be convened shortly by the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. G W. Hutchison. Among the matters to be discussed is the cost to the local bodies of supervision under the scheme and the question of co-operation between the local bodies in carrying out works of mutual benefit.
