BANK CLERK IN CUSTODY.
THEFT IN COLOMBIA ALLEGED EXTRADITION PAPERS IN ORDER. [Br TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Tuesday. Staling his opinion that the extradition papers were in order, Mr. E. Page. S.M., committed Duncan Stewart Peid to prison to await surrender to the Republic of Colombia, South America, on a charge of theft as nn agent. Reid was a bank officer in the employ of the Bank of London and South America afe Barranquilla, and he is alleged to have stolen about £2OOO. Mr. Page told accused that he would not Le surrendered for 15 days from today, and that he had the light to apply for a writ of habeas corpus.
