PLIGHT OF NORFOLK.
VICAR'S VIEW OF POSITION. NO THANKSGIVING SERVICE. (Received September 14, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, Sept, 14. A Norfolk vicar, the Rev. W. C. Hall, who declined to hold a harvest thanksgiving service, wrote to his parishioners: " I cannot ask you to join in thanking God for the ruin of English farming, or for Russian dumping, which is partlyresponsible for the mess we are in. " Oi the land in Norfolk 85 per cent, belongs to the banks, and 200,000 agricultural workers are without jobs and unable to draw the dole."
