WOMEN'S DIVISION.
A BIRTHDAY PARTY. The first birthday of the Pukekawa branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' was celebrated on Saturday afternoon by a birthday party in the grounds of Mr. and Mrs. H. Hawke's residence, Pukekawa. The function was largely attended, members and guests to the number of about 60 being present. The guests included Mrs. Dynes Fulton, president of the Tuakau branch of the Plunlcet Society, Mrs. Lewis, president of the Tuakau branch of the Women's Institute, and Mrs. Henderson, vice-presi-dent of the Onewhero branch of the Women's Division. Gaily decorated with greenery, a large marquee made a bright setting "for the centre of festivities. Tho birthday cake was cut by Mrs. M. Orr. president of the Pukekawa branch, while Mrs. Henderson lighted the single candle which graced the cake. Items were given by Mrs. Crawford, Mrs. Morrison and Miss Julie Orr, while a humorous sketch, " The Family Group," produced by Miss Julie Orr, was presented by six local young ladies, Misses M. Wells, M. Logan, L. Elwin, S. Bell, E. McGuive and A. Hawke.
