CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.
METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB. The Metropolitan Gun Club held its usual fortnightly shoot on Saturday, the attendance being not as good as usual. A new system of handicapping, which was tried out, proved a success. Under the system the front-mark men were not affecied, but the better shots, on other, marks, had the shooting made more difficult as they went back. Following were the results:— Seven-bird Sweepstake.—H. Wright, ltydi (possible), 1; J. Milne, 13yds, A. E. Macredie, 16yds, L. Peterson, 17yds, and J. Gribble, 12yds (6 each), 2. Fifteen-bird Trophy Match.—A. E. Macredie, 16yds (possible). 1; J-i Milne, 13yds, H. "Wright, 14yds, and C. IE Hodge, 22yds (14 each). 2. Five Pairs, Double-rise Match. —C. i-. Hodge, 16yds (possible). 1; J. Milne, 11yds, A. Harrigan, 12yds, and A. E. Macredie (9 each), 2.
