PONSONBY CLUB'S YEAR. ENSUING SEASON'S OFFICERS. That the past season had been a satisfactory one both from a playing and financial point of view was shown by the report and balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Ponsonby Cricket Club last evening:. There was an attendance of over 40 members and intending members. The report stated that, although all teams performed creditably, none succeeded in winning a championship. Trophies for best all-round performances in the senior A, senior B and second grades were presented by the president, Mr. I. Clark, to S. Or. Smith, N. B. Lendrum and L. H. Atkinson, respectively. ' For the best bowling performance in the club, Mr. J. E. Mortimer was awarded a silver cup donated by Mr. R. A. Laidlaw. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. I. A satisfactory financial position was revealed by the balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Grafton United Cricket Club last evening. A credit balance of £2 ISs 2d was shown on the season s working, while the excess of assets over liabilities amounted to £l2 Is Id. There was an attendance of about 30, Mr. C. The club regretted the death of the late Mr. A. Sloman, an old member of the club, and an ex-representative, whose death occurred recently. Twenty-one new members were elected. FORMATION OF NEW CLUB. MOUNT ALBERT OLD BOYS. Marked enthusiasm characterised a meeting of old boys of the Mount Albert Grammar School last evening called with the object, of forming a cricket club. Mr. V. C Butler presided. Rules were adopted and it was decided to affiliate- with the Auckland Cricket Association and the Suburban Cricket Association, or both, the decision to be subject to the number of teams accepted by each association. It was resolved to call the cr.ib the Mount Albert Grammar School Old Boys' Cricket Club, the object of which would be to encourage play among the students and past students of the school. The. membership of the club will be confined solely to old boys of Mount Albert Grammar School. The following officers were elected:— Patron. Mr. F. W. Gamble; vice-patrons, Messrs.' A. R.
