GOOD BAG OF DEER.
SUCCESSFUL SCHOOLBOYS. A party of five Ashburtnn High School boys visited .Mr. It. (*. I'odhunter's station at Lake Heron in their term holidays for the purpose of stalking deer. They were away about a week and a-lialf and travelled over very rough country, but their efforts were rewarded, for they shot ton deer, among which was a 12 pointer. Several good skins were brought back. Large numbers of teal, black swans, Canadian geese, paradise ducks and grey ducks, pukeko and redbills were seen by the party.
