LONG SERVICE WITH BANK.
RETIREMENT OF MANAGER. [liY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAWERA, Monday. Mr. 11. C. Hay-Mackenzie, manager of the Hawera branch of the Bank of New Zealand, will retire in November, after 42 yea re' service in the Colonial Bank and Bank of New Zealand. The last 11 years he has spent at Hawera. Mr. Hav-Mackenzie joined the Colonial Bank at Dunedfn in 1879 and remained in its employ until it was absorbed by the Bank of New Zealand in 1887. After service in the Boer War he rejoined the bank at Wellington. In 1912 he was appointed manager at Raetihi and eight years later was transferred to Hawera. He is a keen golfer, having been captain of the Hawera Club and being at present vice president. He was also the first president of the revived Hawera Boxing Association and is now vice-president.
