LAWN TENNIS.

SEASON AT CAMPBELL PARK. That a successful season had been-ex-perienced, both from a playing and financial point of view, was shown by the report and balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Campbell Park Lawn Tennis Club. The report stated that the membership included 152 playing members and 25 winter members. In the inter-club competition a team was entered ior the first time in the A grade competition and teams were also entered in the B. C and D grades. The D grade won the hard-court section. In the past two seasons £lßl- had been spent on resurfacing the courts whicn were _ now m* splendid condition. Several other improvements were carried out during the year. The report and balance-sheet presented at the annual meeting of the Gnmmar Lawn Tennis Club showed that the past year had been a very successful one from all points of view and the club was looking forward to an equally successful season _ this _ year. Special attention had been paid to junior members in the past and this would be. a feature of the coming season. Negotiations were being made for the View Road courts, and it was hoped to open the season on the third Saturday in October. PUKEROA CLUB S SEASON. Congratulations on the sound financial position of the club were expressed by the president, Mr. C. S.
