The Auckland-bred three-year old lAmmon Ra, scored a decisive victory in the Chelmsford Stakes at TattersalPs Club meeting at Randwick yesterday. The success brings his stake-winnings to over £IO,OOO, of which sum ho had won £2535 in New Zealand before being sold by Dr. E. H. B. Milsom to Mr. C. C. Sheath sixmonths ago. Amnion Ra has long been favoiirite for the rich A.J.C. Derby and lis prospects appear extremely bright. There were 13 starters, including the JNew Zealanders Movie Star and Cypress and the ex-New Zealanders Chido and JVeilmond. Cypress led into the straight from; Animon Ra and Movie Star, but unable to withstand a challenge by Amnion Ra, who won by two lengths from Ptolemy, with Veilmond third. Cypress was fourth and Chido fifth. There were twenty start-era in the Spring Handicap, won by Vigne. First lAcre did best of the New Zealanders, finishing third, while the ex-Aucklander Papatn was fourth, and Concentrate and yali were unplaced.

The jockey W. H. Cook, who had regained his licence only the day before, rode Waugoola to victory in the second division of the Tramway Handicap. During the afternoon the champion, Phar Lap, was paraded on the course jrith the colours up. Results:—
