ORPHANS' CLUB.
The closing gathering for the 1931 session of the Birkenhead and Northeote Orphans' Club was hqjcl in the Buffalo Hall, Birkenhead, on Saturday evening. Mr. V. N- Hubble presided. The programme, which was greatly enjoyed, comprised selections by the orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr. W. Messenger; cornet solo by Mr. N. Lunny; songs ,by Messrs. I.en. Keven, John o'Mai ley and R. Simmers; and duets by Messrs. Gordon Fagan and Tvobert Simmers. The accompanist was Mr. Peter Black. Community singing was led by Air. W. Messenger.
