WIN FOR NORTH AUCKLAND. VISITORS SOUNDLY BEATEN. DIFFERENCE OF 14 POINTS. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGaREI, Saturday. There v.-as a very large attendance at Rugby Tark to-day, when the Auckland v. North Auckland representative match was played in perfect weather. The ground was dry and hard. North Auckland proved the victors by 22 points <o 8. the forwards proving superior. Following were the teams: — Auckland.—Davies, Milliken, Heazlewood, Hutchinson, Haslam, Macindoe, Frankharn, Stacey, Souter, Havward, Wish art, Andersen, Satherlev, Barker, Battv.

Xorih Auckland.—Kerr, Barich, McRae. Feel,ey, Mourin, Collins, McDonald, Wells. Morrisey, Wilkinson, Yates, Rika, Nathan. Sherriff. Finlayson. Auckland kicked off and from the scrum McDonald was penalised for picking the ball out of the scrum, but tho Auckland kick at goal failed. A good forward movement, by North Auckland followed, and North Auckland failed to benefit from two penalty kicks. Souter was injured snd was replaced by Stone. The North ssain pressed and from a free kick Kerr kicked a penalty goal. A great, run by Collins, Wells and Feeley was stopped by Davies on the Auckland line, and a free kick relieved the position. Wells again broke away and from a scramble near the line Yates scored. Rika failed with the kick. Davies gained good ground with a great line kick and a forward rush enabled Stone to score for Auckland. Davies' kick failed from an awkward position. The Auckland backs got going in a good movement, but Hutchinson failed to take a bad pass in a scoring position. North relieved, and Collins, after kicking the bsil from the loose, picked up to score. Kerr converied. North Auckland, 11; Auckland, 3.

Resuming after half-time, a good run by Stacey enabled Satherley to score. Heazlewood' converted. Shortly afterwards Barich was injured and was replaced by Mullins. Obstruction by Heazlewood in front of the goal enabled Kerr to kick a penalty goal. In a sparkling passing movement, Frankham, Macindoe, Haslam, and Heazlewood handled the ball, but Hutchinson missed the pass. Auckland was now pressing and was awarded a free kick, but Davies' attempt failed. Milliken made a good ran down the line, but wa3 well stopped by Mourin. Haslam was injured and was replaced by Stuart. Wells obtained possession and made a great run, passing to Collins, who missed the pass. Mourin cut out two men, passing to Collins, who was held at the corner. McDonald obtained and was nearly over, Stuart saving. Yates gained possession and scrambled over to score. Kerr converted. Fast following up by Sherrift, Yates and Wilkinson enabled the latter player to score at the corner. The kick failed. North Auckland were soon pressing again, but a great- run by Milliken relieved to half-way. The game concluded with the score:—North Auckland, 22; Auckland. 8. In a curtain-raiser, Whangarei third grade representatives beat Rawene third grade by 12 points to nil.
