REVENUE EXCEEDED.
NEW SOUTH WALES STATE. MONTH'S OBLIGATIONS MET. SYDNEY. Sept. 11. The expenditure by Now South Wales for tho two months of the present financial year exceeded tho revenue by £1,052,658. Tho revenue amounted to £4,702,824, and the expenditure to £5.755,482. During last month New South Wales met all her obligations, and in addition tho liability to the Commonwealth for previous defaults was reduced by £281,000.
COMMONWEALTH RETURNS. FIGURES FOR TWO MONTHS. CANBERRA. Sort. 11. The expenditure by the Commonwealth in the first two months of the financial year exceeded the revenue by £1,121,000. The expenditure totalled £11,689,000, and the revenue, £10,568,000.
