COMPETITIONS. -tPROPOSED MURAL PAINTING IN THE NATIONAL ART GALLERY AT SIDNEY. The Trustees of the National Art Gallery of New South Wales invite Sketch Designs from Artists residing in Australia and JNew Zealand for a decoration to occupy a Lunette in the Gallery. Sketches to be delivered to the Director of the Gallery on or before noon on the first day of February, 1932. The Trustees shall bo the sole Judges of the sketches submitted and will buy for One Hundred Pounds the one they consider best and for Fifty Pounds the second best, provided they are of sufficient merit to warrant the award: and may commission the author of the first premiated design to paint it full size for placing on the wallß of the Gallery if the price quoted is satisfactory. The premiated designs and copyright thereof to become the property of the Trustees. For further information the Director may be consulted or communicated with up. to the first day of November. 1931. after which no interviews will be given or letters answered.
