CHALLENGE SHIELD MATCH. DIFFICULTY OVER DATE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCIIURCII. Friday. Difficulty has i risen regarding an acceptable date for the New Zealand Challenge Shield match between Auckland (challnn gers) and Canterbury (holders). September 12 was the date agreed upon by Canterbury, but last week Auckland telegraphed the New Zealand Association, asking for a postponement until September 19, owing to its inability to secure the best team. The Canterbury Association will not agree to the postponement, and there seems to be little chance of 'he match this season.
