DETAILS OF MOVEMENT. V;.; NOT SEEN IN NEW ZEALAND. I The new comet, which was discovered? on August 14, is in a very bad for observation in the Southern Henri-" sphere, rising and setting with th» sun and, therefore, being above the hori* zon only daring the day. Further advice from Europe is to th» effect that the comet is moving from east to west, close to the sun, and also moving southward. If these details- are correct it is possible that the comet ma; be seen iD New Zealand in the near future, rising ,in the qorth-eastera sky shortly before sunrise. The officials at the Dominion Observe tory and also a number of private observatories are watching for the comet'l appearance.
