The result was that every Vietorian bowl was cleared off the rink, and Lowe scored the possible eight points. Another rare occurrence took place during a contest between rinks skipped bj Bleach, Queensland, and Naylor, Net < Zealand. On the seventeenth end two opposing bowls' were touching kitty when the slaps came to play. Naylor with his first bowl drew to the jack, and had also a toucher. Thus three bowls were all lying on the jack, and the result mi no score. On the eighteenth end Bleach scored and won. One match in which two Brisbane skips were concerned could not be finished before almost total darkness set in. The skips had a consultation and decided, darkness or not, to finish.
