The Governor-General, Lord .Bledisloi, held an investiture at Government Home, : Wellington, this evening, at which & j Excellency presented to Mr. R. A. Ander son, of Invercargill, and Mr. G. A. Troop, formerly Mayor of Wellington, the insignia of Companions of the Order of & Michael and St.* George. Lord Bledisloe also presented to Mr, William Waddel, formorly superintendent of the State Advances Department, Wellington, the insignia of a Commander of the Civil Division of the Orde of the British Empire. The investiture was followed by a » ception, at which numerous guests uat received by Their Excellencies.
