REVENUE TARIFF FAVOURED
MEETING PRESENT CRISIS. REPORT TO UNION CONGRESS. BITTER DISPUTE EXPECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received September 1, 11.25 p.m.) LOXDOX. Sept. 1. The economic committee of tho Trades Union Congress has completed its special report on the existing political crisis for presentation to the meeting of the congress at Bristol, on September 7. It is understood that it favours a revenue tariff. It is likely that the general council will adopt the report, which will thus go to the congress with a definite recommendation in. favour of the tariff. Tho best informed observers among Mr. Henderson's following foresee an inevitable cleavage of opinion on the fiscal issuo and a bitter internecine controversy in that connection.
