CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—The weather was unsettled, yesterday and a light breeze was blowing i;| from the south-west. Showers were experienced early in the morning and during the evening. Christchurch. —The rain continued terday, but the atmosphere was not 50 cold, the thermometer recording 48 degrees. The wind remained in tho south-|('g, west. The barometer started to rise and the reading was 29.55 in. in the evening. Dunedin. —Light rain fell for the greater part of the day and a breeze was blowing from the south-east.
