ACTIVITY OF BURGLARS.

TWO CASES IN DUNEDIN. BUSINESS PREMISES ENTERED. CASH TAKEN FROM OFFICE. [BY TELEGRAM. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Sunday. Two business places were entered by burglars on Saturday night. Bing Harris' warehouse, in High Street, was entered through the back window, and deary's Otago bottle store, in Hanover Street, entered by an uidocked office door. "It has not yet been ascertained whether anything was stolen from the warehouse. The sum of £5 in cash was removed from deary's office.

THIEF IN SUBURBAN HOUSE. DISTURBED BY OWNER. During the absence of the occupants 011 Saturday evening, a house at 22, Turama Road, Royal Oak, was entered by a thief, who wag apparently disturbed by the return of the owner, Mr. B. V. Cottrell, shortly before midnight. Mr. Cottrell thought that he heard someone moving in (lie house and then discovered that tho back door was open. All that was missing from the house was a piece of roasted pork.

POST OFFICE ROBBERY. THIEVES AT KIJMEU TAKE SAFE. A safe containing £3O in notes and cash, as well as a number of official books and papers, was removed by thieves from tho Kumeu post office" late on Saturday night or early yesterday morning. Detectives from Auckland visited Kumeu yesterday, and made investigations. THEFT OF BENZINE. SERVICE STATION ENTERED. A benzine pump at a service station owned by Mr. A. Sinkovitch, in Lincoln Road, Henderson, was broken open on Saturday night, and about 30 gallons of petrol stolen. The proprietor discovered that the lock securing the pump had been broken when he opened his garage yesterday morning.
