WEEK-END WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—Fine weather and a light north-east wind on Saturday were followed Iv showers in the evening and boisterous westerly weather and frequent rain showers yesterday. After falling during Saturday, the barometer was steady yesterday at 29.50 in. Wellington.—The weather over the week-end was mainly fine, although there was much cloudiness. Saturday worning was sunny, but the afternoon was overcast with a light shower of rain. After heavy rain in the night, Sunday w&j fine, with a cold wind.
Christchurch. —Saturday \vas dull and chilly, with some rain in the afternoon. Sunday was sunny, but with a cold southerly wind. The barometer fell on Saturday, but was steady at - midnight, and has since remained at 29.40 in.
Dunedin.—The weather was bright and sunny on Saturday morning, but dull and overcast in the afternoon and evening* The wind was fresh from the north-east. The barometer fell rapidly during the day.There was little wind on Sunday, but there was steady rain *jll night and durinnr the morning. The barometer was atill falling.
