FAILURE TO PAY LEVY.
SOLICITOR AND STATIONER. PENALTIES AT WHANGAREI. [Br TELEGRAPH. —OWN COBBESPONIffiNT. ] WHANGABEI, Monday. Some business people are causing considerable trouble and expense to the authorities, stated Mr. G. N. Moms, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day, when 0. A. Lamb, solicitor, and M. Somerville, stationer, were charged with failing to pay the unemployment levy before toe due date.
Mr. K- K. Trimmer appeared for both defendants and said the omission was an oversight and the amounts had now been paid. Fines of £2 each, and costs 10s, were imposed.
