FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT.
HOSPITAL STAFF MEMBERS.
The opinion that he did not think the i principle of giving free medical treatment to the hospital staff was right was expressed by Mr. A. E. Mansford at a meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Board last week, when it was recommended that accounts for treatment of the staff, amounting to £2024, be written off. The secretary, in reading the board's rule in that connection, said that during his eight years' association with tho hospital ~ had been customary for those working in the institution to receive free treat- ■ inent.
