JEWELLERY IN SUITCASES. PROPERTY VALUED AT £IOOO. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ■WELLINGTON. Saturday. Arrested .in one of the city skating rinks last, evening, Arthur John Roberts, aged 28, a motor driver, appeared before Mr. T. B. McNeil, S.M., 'in the Magistrate's Court to-day on a charge of stealing two suitcases containing je'welleiy and clothing of a total value of £IOOO, the property of Sladen and Son, wholesale jewellers, of Christchurch. He was remanded until Friday next. - , It is alleged that the jewellery was stolen from one of the firm's travellers, who left the suitcases in a motor car io Harris Street while he was absent a few minutes.
