ONEHUNGA COUNCIL.
VACANCY THROUGH ILLNESS.
Owing to indisposition Mr. A. C. Tonkin has resigned his seat on the Onehunga Borough Council. The town clerk, Mr. H. A. Yockney, as returning officer for the borough, will receive nominations of candidate? to fill. the vacancy until noon of September 3, and if necessary an election will be held on Tuesday, September 15. Mr. Tonkin was first elected to the council two years ago, when he was appointed chairman of tho lifeserves and Farkß Committee.
