STRUCK BY MOTOR-CAR.
MOTHER AND SON HURT. WOMAN'S CONDITION SERIOUS. A compound fracture of the Jeffc leg was received by Mrs. T. Kay, of 6, Wynyard Road, Mount Eden, as a result of being knocked down by a motor-car 111 Eden Terrace at about 7.15 p.m. yesterday. Mrs. Kay was accompanied by her son, Mr. P. Kay, who was also knocked down, and received abrasions. Mrs. Kay was taken by the St. John Ambulance to a private hospital, where an operation was immediately performed by Dr. Kenneth MacCormick. Her condition was serious' at a late hour. Mrs. Kay and her son were crossing Eden Terrace, and walked in front of a city-bound tramcar. They were struck • by a motor-car also travelling toward the city, and both were knocked down with considerable violence.
