VIOLINIST'S VISIT.
CONCERTS iN AUCKLAND. Balokcvic, the Croatian violinist who is duo at Auckland in his private yacht Northern Light on Monday, will give his first recital in the Town Hail cn Tuesday evening. Others will be given on the following Thursday and Saturday evenings. Writing of Mr.'. Balokovic's artistry, an Australian critic said :—'"The violinist, who was enthusiastically received, impressed at once with the delightful quality of his tone in the andante melody of Handel's Sonata in G minor. Ha played this section with sensitive charm, gave the allegro its due character oi gay exultation and the slow movement, as already stated, was a gens of lyric beauty. At the end of the concert the enthusiasm was sustained and was stilled only when the violinist and his accompanist, Mr. .Kjell Fleetwood, played the National Anthem."
