BOOK AND THE MAN.
Professor Wilbelm Dibelius, of Berlin, whose death afc the age of 55 suddenly interrupted an industrious life of teaching and writing, is known throughout the Empire for his admirable book on England, and less well for a. volume on Dickens. He secured his university degree in, English philology, and taught successively in Posen, Hamburg, Bonn and Berlin.
