EVEN WRESTLING.
BURESH AND PENCHEFF. CONTEST ENDS IN DRAW. A LIVELY EXHIBITION. [from, our own correspondent.] HAMILTON. Friday. A professional wrestling match between Stanley Burcsh ar.d George Penchoff, staged by the Waikato Wrestling Association in the Theatre Royal, Hamilton) this evening, resulted in a draw, neither contestant securing a fall. -I he large attendance was treated to a lively exhibition' and the decision met with a good reception. Pencheff's weight was given as 13st. '3l hj., and that of Buresh, 13st. 101b.
The opening rounds were even, but i" tho third Burcsh had Pencheff in difficulties with a dcuble-bar toe-hold, and Pencheff had to roll through the ropes to save himself. Early in the fifth round' Pencheff threw his opponent five times in succession with headlocks and a little later secured a crucifix, but was unable to maintain the hold. Buresh then had Pencheff groggy with a series of throws from headlocks. The remainder of the bout was even. Mr. A. Newton, of Hamilton, wa3 referee. Prior to the main bout, the president of the association, Mr. C. A. Mathieson, apologised for the non-appearanco of George Walker, who had been scheduled to meet Pencheff. Four amateur bouts resulted as follows R. Kirby, Hamilton (9st.), boat T. Starnes, Hamilton (Bst. '01b.); S. Anchor, Hamilton, (10st.), beat H. Peake, Te Awamutu (lOst '101b.); 0. Bair, Hamilton (lOst. 91b.), beat J. Alker, Hamilton (lOst. 71b.); P. Hill, Te Awamutu (list; 51b.), beat- H. A. Picker ing, Ngaruawahia (list 41b.).
