SUNKEN BATTLESHIP.
USE FOR TARGET PRACTICE. EMPEROR OF INDIA RAISED. LONDON, August 16. The battleship Emperor of India, which by a mistake was sunk by gunfire in the Channel while being used for target practice, has been refloated.
The heavy gales which stripped off her steel in patches, prevented earlier attempts at salvage.
