YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH, Auckland.—A moderate westerly wind and showery weather prevailed yesterday.] The conditions improved in the evening, when the barometer was rising. Ihe reading last night was SO.OOin. Wellington.—The weather was fine, but mainly overcast. There was some bright sunshine in the morning. The wind v> as from the north. Christchurch. —The weather was oul and showery until about four o'clock v.hen steady rain set in and continued in t l9 evening. Tho wind was from the sout iwest. Tho maximum temperature aS 49 degrees. The barometer was rsimg, the reading in the evening being 29.5 m. Dunedin.—Continuous rain fell from an early hour in the morning and showe no sign of clearing in the evening. ' wind was light from the south-west. ■ barometer showed a rising tendency registered 29.55ia. .
