POLICE FORCE CHANGES.
PROMOTION OF DETECTIVE, [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.J WELLINGTON. Monday. Tho Commissioner of Police, Mr. • W. G. Wohlmann, announces the following promotions and transfers in the Police' Force:— Detective Re.veil, of Wanganui, to ha detective-sergeant and transferred to Wellington. He will be replaced Wanganui by Detective J. J. Murray, of Wellington. Consequent on the retirement of SeniorSergeant Butler, at Nelson, Senior-Ser-geant Stark, of Napier, is transferred to take his place. Sergeant Pender, of Kilbirnie, and Sergeant Martin, virke, are promoted to the rank of seniorsergeants. Senior-Sergeant Ponder will g® to Napier. Constable Whiting, of Whangamomona, is promoted to the rank of sergeant an is transferred to Wellington.
