Prizes won in the Holy Name Society's annual essay competition on the ideals of tho organisation wore presented by tho Poman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, Dr. Liston, at a concert in the Town Hall last evening Tile results are as follows: —Seniors: Sheila* Moriarty, St. Mary's Convent, Hamilton, 1; Gabrielle Marshall. St. Mary's College. Ponsortby, 2; Nola Robertson, Mantiffewa, 3. Intermediate: Margaret Hogan, St. Mary's' Convent. Hamilton, 1; Helen Cooper, St. Joseph's Convent, Gtfey Lynn, 2; Mary Roarns. St. Mary's College, Ponsonby, and Kathleen Cunningham St. Patrick's School. Wellington Street., 3. Juniors: Nora Hansen, Marisfc Mission School. Mount Albert, 1; Mary Stapleton, St. Mary's Convent, Hamilton 2; Nellie Kearns, St. Patrick's School, Wellington Street,_ 3. The winners of the first prizes received gold medals.
