DAZZLED BY HEADLIGHTS.
MOTOR-CAR STRIKES POST. TWO PASSENGERS INJURED. The glare of the headlights on an approaching car was responsible for an accident at' Napier one night last week, when a car, driven by Mr. T. Bowie, collided with a telegraph post and suffered considerable damage to the windscreen and radiator.
Sir. Bowie was driving along Napier Terrace, when he met another car approaching him at a' bend. The glare of the latter vehicle's headlights dazzling him, he pulled in to the side of the road to allow the car to pass, when he struck the telegraph post with considerable force. Mrs. Bowie and Mr. A. Gardner, who were driving with Mr. Bowie, received minor cuts and bruises, necessitating their removal to hospital for treatment.
