AUCKLAND CABARETS.
PETER PAN. Many dancers were present at the Peter Pan Cabaret on Saturday evening. Yellow jonquils were arranged on the tables and the new lighting effects gave an atmosphere of restfulness and charm to the cabaret. Among those present were: —Mrs. S. Harle Giles, who wore a frock of floral ninon; Miss Hazel Harrison, green georgette; Miss Gladys Pidgeon, lace over flame sat,in; Mrs. H. Warren, floral ninon; Miss Ola Baster, blue georgette and lace; Miss Maureen Fenwick, Lidoblue georgette; Miss Inez Rigg, petunia ninon; Mrs. G. Hookham, blue georgette; Miss Rita Franklin, picture frock of blue velvet; Mrs. R. Smyth, black ring velvet; Miss Molly Symmonds, Nilegreen georgette; Miss Mary Smith, white crepe de chine; Miss Anne Jones, applegreen georgette; Mrs. Betty Kelly, black marocain; Miss L. Langton (Cambridge), amber lace and georgette; Miss E. Rayner, jade georgette; Mrs. Gillies, beige net; Mrs. C. Court, ciel-blue georgette'; Mrs. Bransden, jade georgette; Miss Janet Wallace, biue faille; Miss Betty Jones, flame satin. DIXIELAND. Dixieland was again thronged with dancers on Saturday. The evening was sufficiently cold to make dancing most enjoyable and the splendid programme of dances arranged by the orchestra under Mr. H. Neilson was very much appreciated. The entrance lounges were decorated with Iceland poppies and French marigolds and foliage added to the attractive scheme. Among those present were: Mrs. T. E. Yockney, who wore primrose satin and georgette; Mrs. F. Edwards, green velvet; Miss I. Hyauisson, green floral taffeta; Miss Brennan, apricot satin beaute; _Miss Andrew, blue crepe do chine; Miss S. Jones, rose pink satin beaute; Miss Gillingham, green georgette; Miss Bradfield, lavender taffeta. SYMONDSVILLE. A carnival evening was held by Miss Spencer at the Symondsville Studio on Saturday at which there was a very large attendance of dancers. Hanging baskets of ferns and strings of multi-coloured balloons made attractive decorations. Mr. Gordon Comes and his Mayfair Orches-' tra played the latest dance numbers. Among those present were: Mrs. Spencer, who wore a frock of grey and orange floral taffeta; Mrs. Wood, black and ivory lace; Miss G. Fergusson, ivory white satin and tulle; Mrs. N. Porter, shell pink" taffeta and lace; Mrs. E. Lewis, maize georgette and satin; Miss Spencer, apricot and white printed crepe de chine; Miss Webster, autumn-shaded floral chiffon; Miss Hooker, moonlight blue georgette.
